چکیده

Abstract In this study, the coupling of analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and geographical information system (GIS) was used to assess flood hazards. Spatial analysis in GIS environment has been applied for estimation hazard zones which five relevant physical factors have selected, namely rainfall amount, slope, elevation, drainage density, land use. The amount use are subjected changes over a time horizon, an attempt is made delineate under changing climate, i.e., delineating base climate change scenarios. proposed method Mazam-Watrak River basin state Gujarat, India data span 1961–2016. It concluded that proliferate downstream eastern middle reaches very high category results obtained from AHP validated through observed susceptible area basin.

India: Flood Management - Damodar River Basin

Information is provided about the approach and experience in flood management in the Damodar river basin of India. This is achieved through a scheme for the integrated operation of a number of reservoirs on that river and on its tributaries for the purpose of irrigation, hydropower generation and flood protection. Of particular interest is the recent change in policy towards a multi-disciplinar...

Hydrological Variability and Uncertainty of Lower Missouri River Basin under Changing Climate

The lower Missouri River Basin has experienced increasing streamflow and flooding events, with higher risk of extreme hydrologic impacts under changing climate. The newly available North American Regional Climate Change Assessment Program (NARCCAP) climate projections were used as atmospheric forcing for Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model which runs with varying potential evapotranspir...

Analysis of Streamflow Changes under Climate Change Using Rainfall-Runoff Model in the Kor River Basin

Abstract In this study, the predicted monthly temperature and rainfall data from HadCM3 model (base period, ۱۹۷۲-۲۰۰۱) and next period (۲۰۱۱-۲۰۴۰) under A2emission scenario were used to investigate the impacts of climate change on runoff variations in the Kor river basin. HadCM3 model output was downscaled based on a temporal downscaling approach (Change Factor) and spatial downscaling appro...

The Analytical Hierarchy Process

The Supplier Selection Problem (SSP) consists of analyzing and measuring the performance of a set of suppliers in order to rank and select them for improving the competitiveness of the whole supply system. As many conflicting factors should be taken into account in the analysis, the problem can be tackled using multi-criteria models and methods. In this work a careful scrutiny of the papers app...
